01 · The project
At the back of a plot in Issy-les-Moulineaux, a garage is to become a place where people live, and to gain twenty-five square metres on the ground. The file begins with the planning rules: what the zone allows in footprint and appearance, and what it demands for a change of use.
02 · Programme & uses
Then come the plans of the existing and of the project, the sections, the elevations, the insertion views: thirteen sheets which, together, must let someone who has never seen the place understand it. That is the real exercise of a prior declaration.
03 · The site
Seen from the garden, the extension holds the kitchen and the bathroom, while the former garage becomes a living room with a bedroom on a mezzanine. The file was carried out single-handed, from the first reading of the rules to lodging it at the town hall.
