01 · The project
The analysis reveals a fragmented metropolis: broken-up traffic that damages urban coherence, scattered housing with no clear hierarchy. Public transport emerges as the lever able to restructure the city and restore its connections.
02 · Programme & uses
The project focuses on requalifying the centralities, around the attraction poles and major axes such as avenue Salengro. These places become spaces of exchange and encounter again, where housing, shops and public space mix instead of merely following one another.
03 · The site
The housing encourages interaction through shared terraces that bring vegetation into the built fabric. The buildings rest on a hybrid timber-concrete structure, combining stability and flexibility, and rooftop solar panels take on part of the energy. A vision of tomorrow’s city, where mobility, housing and centralities work together instead of ignoring one another.
